Get to know the ins and outs of living and working in the Utrecht Region.
What you need to know
Find answers to all your essential questions at the Expat Center Utrecht’s walk-in Information Desk. Whether you have questions about working and living in the Utrecht Region, or necessary formalities such as your residence permit or citizen service number (CSN), the Expat Center can help.
At its core, the Expat Center is a one-stop-shop for international talent: companies and their highly skilled migrant employees, scientific researchers, international entrepreneurs and international graduates. The staff members at the Information Desk are volunteers from , a non-profit organisation supporting the international community in the Netherlands. Typically they are expats themselves or have experienced being abroad to work and live, so they are eager to share their experience and get you on the right track with the latest information.
The Utrecht Region works with a number of official partners who can assist you with all the practical issues you may need to take care of before settling into your new life. Our partners all meet our minimum criteria, such as providing all relevant company information in English (including website, flyers, forms, etc.) and agreeing to cooperate in our client-monitoring project. We regularly request feedback from international clients to assess the quality of our partners' services (although this information will never be made public).
Take care of the necessary formalities with help from our partners. Explore our Online Services Map to find service providers experienced in all important topics related to working and living in the Utrecht Region. Follow the links to be taken directly to each partner’s English website.
